The Elizabeth Hospice seeks teens to join the Teen Volunteer Program. Teen volunteers receive comprehensive training led by hospice staff and volunteers. All teen volunteers receive patient and family support training. The Elizabeth Hospice works to match our needs with your interests, talents and skills.
Community service hours for school are offered.
Some of the volunteer opportunities include making crafts for patients and filming and interviewing them to gather their life stories. Help create colorful scrapbooks that incorporate pictures and stories and design photo slide shows. Bring cheer by visiting patients in nursing homes or assisted living facilities and help celebrate patients' special moments such as birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.
Age requirement: 14 to 18 years and have parent consent. A commitment of 4 hours a month and 18 hours of training is required. To learn more about the Hospice Teen Volunteer program, please contact the Hospice Teen Volunteer Program Coordinator at 760-737-2050. Join us in making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
