Serving Seniors

Help serve nutritious and delicious meals prepared at our Downtown location (at the Gary & Mary West Senior Wellness Center) to local seniors. Bring lunch trays to seated seniors; clear tables and trays and wipe down surfaces after each meal. This quick and easy (lunch hour) commitment is one of the best ways to combat local health issues, provide access to nutritious meals, and help develop a general sense of community in San Diego.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve delicious food prepared by our nutrition team to local seniors
  • Carry trays to and from tables
  • Clear trays, wipe tables, and help tidy up after each meal

We provide meals, supportive services, health education, affordable housing and lifelong learning opportunities for seniors in San Diego County. Nearly 5,000 low-income seniors rely on Serving Seniors every year, and we are proud to provide all our services free of charge.
