About

Pennsbury Manor is the reconstructed home of William Penn - prominent Quaker and founder of Pennsylvania! The quiet setting of this 43-acre estate offers a welcome relief from the hustle-and-bustle of modern life where visitors can experience 17th-century colonial life. We need volunteers who can help us create clothing for our interpreters and tradespeople, who dress in historical ensembles. No knowledge of historical sewing required, we'll teach you everything you need to know. Projects are a combination of machine and hand-sewing. Knitting projects and lucette-weaving also available.
