Volunteers with NOVA have the special satisfaction of knowing they have contributed to making a victim feel a little less alone, a little stronger. Whether you choose to work directly with victims, or wish to help with other agency activities, your contributions are needed... and priceless. Without the help of our dedicated volunteers and staff we would not be able to assist the nearly 3,500 victims who contact us each year. COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER In order to be a Community Volunteer, willingness to help is all you need! Some of the activities you can join are listed below. Training is provided. PUBLICITY AND OUTREACH: Work on a committee to provide support to NOVA's special events or public affairs activities. Help NOVA identify and contact new donors. Present NOVA's agency overview to community groups and organizations in Bucks County. Staff NOVA information tables at community-wide events and fairs. NOVA THRIFT SHOP: Work in an exciting retail environment that raises funds to support NOVA's services. Help sell, sort and display clothing and collectibles in NOVA's upscale, resale boutique. The hours are flexible and the environment is fun and friendly. Volunteers over the age of 16 are welcome and groups from public and private workplaces can reach out about group projects. Orientation to NOVA and to the Thrift Shop provided.
