IN HOMES AND FACILITIES THROUGHOUT LA COUNTY AND ORANGE COUNTY Certified Pet Therapy Or Animal Assisted Therapy Volunteers and their Certified Animals are needed for a wonderful opportunity to provide comfort at the end of life to Hospice Patients and families in private homes, nursing homes and residential facilities throughout Orange County. How Can Volunteering as a Pet Therapy Volunteer Make a Difference? -Provide emotional and physical comfort to patients and families -Help symptom management for Patients -Provide positive validation that often triggers happy memories -Animal lovers reconnect to positive past experiences Please have a Certified Pet Therapy animal and be Pet Therapy Certified by one of the following: Delta Therapy Dogs International Mariners Therapy Dogs Please be over 18, and able to commit 2 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
