Welcome a refugee to America by putting together a welcome kit - all the basic household necessities that are needed to start a new home - towels, bed linens, pots and pans, cleaning supplies, dishes, etc. Refugees often bring only one bag of possessions when they come and giving them the gift of a welcome kit is such an act of love! Description
World Relief began offering services in Stanislaus County in 1996. We are a Christ-centered organization that partners with local churches and works with hundreds of individuals as well as community groups to offer a comprehensive range of services to refugees and immigrants living in Stanislaus County.
The goal is to empower the local Church to serve the most vulnerable and to see refugees, immigrants and members of their communities become fully-functioning, integrated participants in society. Each year in partnership with the Church, World Relief Modesto helps more than 300 clients.
