Become an Activity Assistant at the Starr Center! As a branch of the non-profit Seniors' Resource Center, the Starr Center provides opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in the Denver metro region to make new friends and develop essential life skills. Participants, ages 18 - 40, learn independent living skills, safety skills and community integration through a variety of lively activities in a structured environment.

The Activity Assistant will assist participants in completing projects while building confidence and independence during the activity, help with craft projects, and assist the Activity Coordinator as requested.

Must enjoy working with developmentally delayed adults.

-Opportunity to become a team member of a caring, professional staff.

-Opportunity to meet, work and increase the sense of accomplishment with participants of the program.

-Know that you are providing much needed assistance to developmentally disabled adults in our community.

-Learn new techniques in working with people who have special needs.
