Day in the Park

Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA) is partnering with the St. Charles Noon Kiwanis to host the FVSRA Day in the Park for children with and without disabilities. On July 13, 2022, St. Charles Park District’s Pottawatomie Park will serve as the backdrop for the Day in the Park event where almost 1000 campers and 200 counselors will come together to enjoy a day of sunshine, playing together and learning about the likeness of one another rather than their differences.

As a volunteer for A Day in the Park you will help in various activities such as:

Rock climbing wall

Dunk tank

Ice Cream and Water Stations

Game Stations

By volunteering for this fun event you will help to celebrate all abilities within the Fox River Valley Region.

FVSRA provides year-round Therapeutic Recreation Services including General Programs, Special Olympics Sports, Leisure Education, Day Camp, Special Events, Travel Opportunities, Individualized Programming, and Social Programs. All participants receive a Therapeutic Recreation Assessment upon registering to assist with proper placement within FVSRA programs.
