Want to make a difference in the lives of others? Becoming a hospice volunteer might be the perfect opportunity for you! Compassus Hospice & Palliative is currently seeking to fill several volunteer positions!
All of our Hospice volunteers receive free training that focuses on a variety of topics related to our patients and their families. After the training is complete, volunteers determine how much time they can commit to Hospice work. Whether dedicating as little as two hours a month or six hours a week, all efforts are appreciated and much needed.
We have three main areas where volunteers can serve:
- Patient Support
- Bereavement
- Administrative

Description
Volunteering for Hospice requires a special commitment to patients and families at a most difficult time in their lives. Hospice volunteers provide essential support in direct patient care, support for family members, office assistance, and many other areas. Volunteers embody the essence of hospice philosophy, and are essential to the successful operation of any Hospice program. Volunteers may choose the area in which they prefer to function and the hours they are willing to donate. Your care can impact a families Hospice experience.
Requirements:
* Completion of our orientation process
* A positive, compassionate attitude
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* At least 18 years of age to work with patients
