SOOC will host a summer swim meet to end its training season. More than 100 athletes of all ages and ability levels will participate. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.

SOOC offers 18 sports year-round to more than 300 athletes of all ages and skill levels with developmental disabilities.
