Volunteers helping to build the first habitat for rescued wild animals at the new location in the Ocala National Forest

About

Forest Animal Rescue (formerly known as Peace River Refuge & Ranch), a nonprofit wild animal sanctuary, has been in Florida for 17 years.

Due to increasing human population around our old facility in Hardee County, we have relocated our sanctaury to the Ocala National Forest. 80 acres of beautiful wooded land has been purchased and we are currently clearing underbrush, trimming trees and building habitats and fences.

We need your help to complete the construction so that we can have all of the rescued animals once again in the large habitats they have grown accustomed to in our care.

Once that is complete we will be able to begin rescuing animals again.
