If you are an employee of a business, a member of a faith based organization, a member of a community association, or a school group your group can volunteer time to support projects at Arizona PBS.
Arizona PBS is currently recruiting volunteer groups for our MarchPledge Drive.
As a non-profit we have our quarterly fundraiser and seek volunteers to help and it is a great group opportunity. We have groups from American Airlines Do Crew to local Realtors. When groups volunteer, they can wear shirts with logos and with live shows can receive a thank you from our on-air talent.
Duties include:
* Take calls from viewers wishing to pledge their financial support to AZ PBS
* Shifts are about 5 hours in length and are on weekday and weekend evenings from 5:15-10:30 pm. Perfect for after work!
* Training, parking and refreshments donated by a local restaurant are provided
Come join the Volunteer Friends of Eight and help us further our mission to provide quality programming and educational services to your community. Take the chance to 'Be More Involved", visit our new state-of-the-art studio, meet some great people!
This is an excellent opportunity for a group to give back to the community.
Please email me with any questions.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Description
WHO WE ARE KAET, Arizona State University's public television station, has been broadcasting since January 30, 1961. More than 75 percent of Arizonans receive our signal through a network of translators and cable systems. With more than 1.5 million viewers each week, KAET consistently ranks among the most-viewed public television stations in the country. WHAT WE DO In addition to airing programs distributed nationally by PBS, KAET produces its own award-winning programs. Especially noteworthy are HORIZON, our nightly public affairs program, and The Arizona Collection, a continuing series that explores the land, history and people of Arizona. Among the programs in this series are Over Arizona; Barry Goldwater: Photographs & Memories; Thieves of Time; Seasons of a Navajo; River of Stone; and Arizona Spring and Fall Landscaping and Gardening. OUR WINNING WAYS KAET has garnered numerous local and national honors, including Emmy awards for Over Arizona, Barry Goldwater: Photographs & Memories, Thieves of Time, and Read Earth. HORIZON received the 1996 Governor's Award from the Arizona Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This special Emmy is the chapter's highest honor. Over Arizona and Barry Goldwater: Photographs & Memories also received awards from the New York Festivals. KAET's promotional campaign for Over Arizona garnered top honors in the 1996 PBS Advertising and Promotion Awards competition. Arizona Gives to Education and Read Earth, two of our community outreach campaigns, received national acclaim from PBS, and Read Earth won special recognition from the National Education Association.
