Help Assemble and/or Deliver Market Meals to Seniors

Everyday, 1 in 9 seniors faces the threat of hunger. Volunteers like you can help lower this number and provide nutrition to hundreds of seniors across the Denver Metro area by signing up to be a Market Meals Volunteer Driver.

Volunteers of America's Market Meals Program is working to alleviate hunger among seniors by providing homebound seniors with a monthly delivery of food that includes 10 nutritious, complete frozen meals, fresh produce, whole grain breads, low-fat dairy products and non-perishable foods. Volunteers are needed to assist with assembly and/or delivery of the bags in the Denver Metro area. Bag assembly takes place on Friday mornings from 8am-10am in the Volunteers of America City Harvest food bank at 26th and Larimer. Delivery routes are available on Saturday mornings and usually take no more than two hours. Routes are picked up at 26th and Larimer also at the food bank.
