Dallas/Independence and Monmouth area: Urgently need volunteers to visit with terminally ill elders. An Odyssey Hospice Volunteer visits directly with patients for companionship, support, to brighten their day, to write letters, to read, to go on walks, to sing, and to help the patient at meal time. Volunteers can also visit with a certified animal assisted therapy dog. Once a volunteer completes the Hospice training they make their own schedule!
