Volunteer opportunities in the warehouse consists of inspecting, sorting and stocking non-perishable canned/dry goods, off loading trucks, logictics assistant, packaging food for the Food for Kids BackPack Program and the monthly Mobile Food Pantries. and other miscellaneous tasks in support of the operation to help feed hungry families in our community.
Some lifting, bending, standing required.

Description
Virginia Peninsula Foodbank serve individuals and families who reside in the cities and counties of Hampton, Newport News, York, Poquoson, James City Country, Williamsburg, Gloucester, Mathews, and Surry. The Foodbank is a member of Feeding America, and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks. The Foodbank receives and distributes food in collaboration with over 200 member agencies and programs to include faith based organizations, soup kitchens, food pantries and other organization that share our mission of minimizing hunger. These member agencies do what they do best feed the most vulnerable . . . the hungry.
