About

Passion for Life is seeking an individual to serve as a Career Coach and/or Group Coach for the organization. This role uses Executive Style Life Coaching, Career Exploration, Leadership and Talent Development, and Dream Building as its core principles to impact change in our students. Both Career and Group Coaches direct students to some end result, and the student chooses how to get there. The coach strategically works with them to assess, monitor the progress, and gives advice for effectiveness and efficiency.


Education Requirement

  • Must be currently pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, of a related human service field

  • Must be classified as a Junior or Senior


Responsibilities

  • Career Coach: P4L career coaches work one-on-one with the students to help them identify their passions, talents and personal strengths and weaknesses to help the student find career options that align with who they are and specific skill sets. This role is great for people who love to help people reach their full potential.

  • Group Coach: P4L group coaches assist with leading and facilitating the group Leadership and Talent development student sessions.

  • Using an internal website, complete reports following sessions to track students’ progress

  • Ability to attend scheduled weekly sessions

  • Willingness to commit to P4L for a 6 month - 1 year term

  • Mandatory attendance at monthly planning meetings

  • Active contributions to monthly student coaching sessions

  • Development of beneficial coaching plans tailored to assigned students’ career interests.

  • Commitment to researching summer opportunities (jobs, camps, etc.) as they relate to students’ career.

  • Desire to encourage, inspire and aid in the transformation of students’ lives.

  • Ability to deliver program curriculum/objectives in classroom/simulated workplace environment


Time Commitment : 5-10 hours a week
