Join KPFK 90.7FM radio in our phone room catching calls during our fund drive! Lots of fun with other progressive-minded volunteers and our listeners on the phones. Come for a few hours any day during the drive. Orientation and a phone script provided - all you need to bring is an outgoing and fun attitude.
This is an opportunity to put your people skills to work for a great cause--keeping our progressive community radio station on the air in the era of Trump. We will remain the voice of the people in Southern California and the world with your help. If you're looking for a way to connect with people who are ready to resist the coming rollback of our civil and human rights, this is it.
If you get an urge to come by, you'll be welcome with or without an appointment. We're about 4 blocks south of the Red Line, across from Universal City. If you're using Google maps, check for KPFK (the street address will land you at a gas station). Parking available unless you all come at once :).
Get out of the house, come to KPFK, and have an adventure while you help keep us strong and powerful. KPFK - Power for the People!

Mission Statement
The Pacifica Mission: To encourage and provide outlets for the creative skills and energies of the community which will aid and serve the cultural welfare of the community, to engage in any activity that shall contribute to a lasting understanding between nations and between the individuals of all nations, races, creeds, and colors, to gather and disseminate information on the causes of conflict between any and all such groups; and through any and all means to promote the study of political and economic problems and the causes of religious, philosophical and racial antagonisms, to promote the full distribution of public information, to obtain access to sources of news not commonly brought together in the same medium, and to employ such varied sources in the public presentation of accurate, objective, comprehensive news on all the matters vitally affecting the community.
Description
We are a public, non-profit, listener-sponsored, mixed format (music, news, culture, public affairs) radio station. We are one of five Pacifica member stations in the U.S. We have a small paid staff of about 15, and a volunteer staff of over 100. We pride ourselves on our diversity of both people and programming.
