The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Since 2008, the Volunteer Center of East Central WI has worked to develop a Volunteer Reception Center in order to process and place spontaneous emergency volunteers who come forward when they hear the call for help.
We are looking for those people who will volunteer in the Volunteer Reception Center in time of disaster. The tasks would be on of the following: interviewing, placing, training, data entry and others. Training provided.
Attend training and functional exercises to prepare for work we hope we never have to do!!
