The organization packs boxes of food for our Neighbors in Need. There is a list of basic non perishable items which each box receives. Assemble the boxes, add the necessary items, seal the box and mark it with the family size (1,2 or 3) that it represents. Boxes are then put on pallets for delivery to our distribution sites.
In addition, food is separated and sorted by type (veggies, meats pasta etc) and/or size. Bulk food items are sorted and repackaged and basic cleanup is performed daily.

To provide a free emergency food assistance program distributing directly to food insecure families in Upstate South Carolina.
Description
God's Pantry is an ecumenical non profit organization dedicated to eliminating hunger in Upstate South Carolina. With 12 locations throughout Greenville, Laurens and Spartanburg Counties, it is the largest food pantry system in the area. Clients are eligible to receive food on a biweekly basis and nobody is ever turned away for food. The organization has supplied boxes of food supplementing 15 meals to almost 800,000 individuals since its inception in September 2002.
