Heartland Hospice of Allentown is seeking Veterans interested in offering bedside companionship to Veterans on hospice care. Applicants will receive comprehensive hospice training prior to patient assignments. Veteran Volunteers offer a special support and comraderie to fellow veterans that is difficult to match! Description
We provide caring, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their caregivers throughout the Lehigh Valley area. Patients reside in Skilled Nursing facilities, Assisted Living facilities, and personal residences. Our holistic care is provided by a professional team which includes our Medical Director, RN's, LPN's, CNA's, Social Workers, Bereavement Coordinator, Spiritual Care Coordinators, Volunteer Coordinator, and Volunteers.
