Hospice Volunteers

Black River Memorial Hospital and Hospice

Potential volunteers will receive special training in friendly visiting, transportation, respite care, life review for patients/families throughout Jackson Co. and surrounding areas of our hospice program.

Transition volunteers - specially trained to sit with imminently dying patients.

Hospice Teens - 14-18 years of age for friendly visiting, light housekeeping, running errands, visits in long-term care facilities, etc. Works great for parent/teen teams.

Regular volunteers - trained for respite, office, transportation, visits and home needs.

Hospice helpers - assist our program in areas the do not involve patient or family contact.
