We've had some hospice volunteers create great relationships with our hospice patients and families. Any caring person can be a great comfort for a person's final journey!

At this time, to follow National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization recommendations, we are recruiting for Hospice office help and phone calling positions, as well as pre-screened home visits. If you would like to help our hospice staff and patients by working in the hospice office doing filing, making admission packets or other misc. tasks, or visiting with patients and giving caregiver breaks, please contact Cindy at 715-284-1391.

Potential volunteers will receive special training in friendly visiting, transportation, respite care, life review for hospice patients/families throughout Jackson Co. and surrounding edges of the county (ex.: Osseo, Neillsville).

Transition volunteers - specially trained to sit with imminently dying patients.

Hospice Teens - 14-18 years of age for friendly visiting, light housekeeping, running errands, visits in long-term care facilities, etc. Works great for parent/teen teams.

Regular volunteers - trained for respite, office, transportation, visits and home needs.

Hospice helpers - assist our program in areas the do not involve patient or family contact.

Vet-to-Vet program - provide visits and caregiver breaks to hospice patients who are veterans.
