GoodGuides is a nationally accredited youth mentoring program dedicated to providing positive youth development to youth ages 12-17. Youth are paired with a volunteer from the community who serves as a positive role model, a listening ear, and someone to have fun with! GoodGuides mentors come from all ages and backgrounds - including college students, professionals, homemakers, retirees, and the military.

Our mentors commit to meeting with their youth for about 1 hr a week for a minimum of 1 year. Mentors can choose either to meet with a small group of 3-4 students at a school once a week, or meet with an individual student outside of school to do activities in the community. Either way, the commitment works out to about 1 hour a week. The program also offers fun activities throughout the year that mentors and youth can attend together.

We are currently enrolling and training mentors to begin mentoring youth in the Peoria area in August or September of this year! If you think this might be a good fit for you, contact Lyndsie at 309-369-2335 or lfugate@goodwillpeo.org.
