Volunteer Opportunities:
Sort Room: Most volunteers spend their time sorting supplies by medical category, counting and packaging supplies and lifting boxes up to 25lbs.
Warehouse: Volunteers also help prepare shipments and load containers as needed.
Mission Outreach is also looking for committed, weekly volunteers to help us with the following volunteer positions:
Data Entry Volunteer: Enter medical supplies by category and weight into the online inventory system. This person must demonstrate basic computer skills and attention to detail.
Volunteer Hours Springfield:
Mon.-Friday: 8:30AM - 12PM & 1PM - 3:30 PM
Tuesday and Thursday Evenings (Times vary by week)
Saturdays (by appointment)

Mission Statement
Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach responds to the sick, poor and needy through a medical equipment and supply recovery and distribution program, education and awareness opportunities and cross cultural mission experiences.
Description
Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach was organized in 2002 as a humanitarian effort, working with health care organizations to recover and responsibly redistribute medical equipment and supplies to people in need around the world.
Our program works with healthcare providers to redirect usable items destined for landfills and make them available to hospitals and clinics in the developing world. Today Mission Outreach has two warehouses, 65 hospitals and 18 clinic partners throughout Illinois & Wisconsin. Life-saving medical supplies and equipment have been shipped to over 85 countries around the world.
