Individuals or groups needed to make blankets / quilts / afghans for children from age 0 to 18 years. Blankets need to be handmade and washable. Donations of materials also greatly appreciated such as cotton quilting material or acrylic yarn in child friendly colors. Contact Chapter Coordinator for further details.
Monthly meetings are held in Middletown, NY where blankets are dropped off to be donated and Project Linus labels are sewn onto the blankets before they are donated to the children.
In addition, we hold Blanket Making Days where the community is invited to join us to make blankets!

Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization with a two-fold mission. First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer â  blanketeersâ  . Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
This is the Orange County, NY chapter of a national,100% volunteer, non-profit organization which collects blankets for children.
We'll work with your schedule.
