Hospice Volunteers Needed Throughout East Bay....Now Offering Online Training

Sutter Care at Home is looking for kind and caring volunteers to provide compassionate support to hospice patients in need.

As vital members of our clinical care team, patient and family support volunteers make in-home or facility visits, bringing compassionate presence and companionship, relief time for caregivers and help with basic errands.

Other specialty service volunteers include somatic therapy volunteers (Reiki, massage, acupressure), Music & Memory program volunteers, bereavement program, office support, special events, and community outreach.

Location:
We always welcome volunteers throughout the East Bay (from Hercules in the north to Union City in the South, and east to Livermore). We honor our volunteer's geographic (and personal) preferences when securing patient assignments.

New Online Training Program:
No prior hospice experience necessary. We now provide a flexible online component in our hospice training program that can be completed at home. This online addition is complemented with in-person orientation and group education, as well as dynamic continuing education sessions (in-person or via telephone).
