Mental Health America of Greenville County
Mental Health America is seeking volunteers 18 or older to answer our 24/7 CRISISline. CRISISline is for those in our community struggling with the choices and demands of life who are in need of a listening ear. We are looking for caring, empathetic volunteers who have an interest in their community and compassion for people of all walks of life. CRISISline training will teach you how to provide support for those who are looking for compassion and assistance. You can become a part of the hope that is an anchor for so many, while gaining valuable skills and experience in the mental health field.

CRISISline provides a confidential, nonjudgmental environment through a 24-hour telephone service that offers respect, information, and crisis intervention for the purpose of supporting and empowering anyone struggling with the choices and demands of life.
TEENline provides teens the opportunity to share their concerns with an informed peer who will offer respect, information, and access to crisis intervention through a confidential and nonjudgmental telephone service.
Mental Health America of Greenville County operates several services to include CRISISline, TEENline, Reassurance Line and Survivors of Suicide. CRISISline is a 24 hour, 7 day a week hotline offering active listening, resource referral and crisis intervention/ suicide prevention. TEENline is a hotline for teens, staffed by trained teen volunteers each weeknight. Offers supportive listening, resource information and crisis intervention.
Reassurance Line is a 24 hour line phone service promoting confidence, safety, and connectedness for persons with mental illness. Allows clients of mental health health centers to maintain independent living.
Survivors of Suicide is a peer support group for adults who have had a loved one die by suicide.
