Caring Vigil Helpers to be there for the Patients who have no living relatives, or family and friends are unavailable. Also to help families that need a break and support during the dying process.

After training, which we provide for you, you can be on call or relate your availability for being a Caring Vigil or Bereavement Helper for Heartland Hospice -- Our Goal is for the patients NOT to die ALONE.

Description

ProMedica Hospice of Dayton services Montgomery, Greene, Preble, Clark, Champaign, Miami, Darke, Shelby and Logan Counties.

Hospice programs are designed to offer support, care and comfort to terminally ill patients in the final stages of life as well as their families. Provided either in-home or within an assisted living or skilled nursing center, our Hospice Care program includes palliative care by hospice professionals, counseling for patient and family as well as pastoral support. In addition, registered nurses, therapists, dietitians and social workers are available to meet all the patients' health care needs.

Hospice Care is a promise... a promise to patients who are facing the most difficult time of life, when choices seem few, and the patient and family situation is most fragile.
