AseraCare Hospice is seeking volunteers who will offer a loving presence and who can be comfortable sitting with hospice patients during the dying process.
Many of our volunteers have expressed that being with a patient at this beautiful time is an honor and a most rewarding experience. This requires a volunteer with both emotional and spiritual maturity.
Our mission for this Vigil Volunteer Program is that none of our patients should die alone. Simple caring and compassion are the main ingredients needed to ease the pain of dying.
Training and continued support are provided throughout the process. Commitment of time varies, usually a few hours at a time.

Description
AseraCare Hospice is one of the nation's premiere providers of hospice and palliative care services. We treat each of our patient's end-of-life journey with respect, kindness, compassion and support.
Our family-centered approach insures that the needs and wishes of both our patients and their family members are met throughout the hospice experience. We provide a wide range of hospice care services that include physician, nursing, therapy, social work, counseling, personal and spiritual care.
