Looking for people who enjoy history and sharing that information to visitors and groups. After a brief training guides volunteer for regularly scheduled tours, special events, and specially arranged tours. Volunteer hours are flexible and seasonal. Mission Statement

Friends of Mount Harmon, Inc. is solely dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Mount Harmon Plantation, north of the Sassafras River.

Description

Mount Harmon Plantation is located in Cecil County, this 200 acre estate lies on a peninsula delineated by the creeks and inlets of the Sassafras River. This area was once know as "World's End" on early maps.

The plantation includes the Manor House open for tours May through October, along with our colonial plantation kitchen, smoke house, tobacco prize house, stable recently renovated as our Education and Discovery Center. There are two miles of nature trails mostly along the waterfront.
