Tutor adults one-on-one in a library close to your home or workplace, or help teachers in GED or adult high school classes. Help adult learners improve their skills in order to achieve goals like finishing high school, qualifying for postsecondary education and training, or getting a better job. Daytime, evening and weekend assignments are available, and training, materials and ongoing support are provided by the Volunteer Learning Program staff. High school diploma required; college preferred.

To provide life-long learning opportunities to adults seeking to increase their basic education skills in order to obtain a high school diploma or pass the GED test.

Description

Volunteer Learning Program is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools Adult & Community Education, Fairfax County Juvenile Court, and the Fairfax County Public Library. The tutorial program offers adults the opportunity to advance their educational skills through working with a tutor.
