Reports to the Chief of Investigations, National Investigation Services Division (NISD) and provides support for general investigations.
Only Active or Retired law enforcement officers, detectives, or investigators will be considered.
This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
Responsibilities
1. Investigate code of conduct and ethics violations.
2. Investigate conflict of interest cases
3. Investigate Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) cases.
4. Conduct suitability investigations for interim staff-like access.
5. Conduct full background investigations for final clearances.
6. Support the Chief of NISD in any other HSFA-related investigations.
7. Interface with the Office of the General Counsel and/or legal services.
8. Make formal decisions in writing regarding investigations and provide final documentation to leadership.
