Seeking Volunteers for Hospitality House: Support Families in Medical Crisis

JW House is a home away from home for families with loved ones receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. We provide warm and comfortable overnight accommodations and day-use facilities (showers, laundry, backyard, etc.) for families. We are located on the campus of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara and are open 365 days a year.

With a small staff, House operations are primarily run by weekly volunteers - from greeting guests, giving tours, setting up for meals, light food preparation when necessary, and light cleaning. Weekly volunteers are scheduled for one 3-4 hour shift (of the same time) each week. It is a truly rewarding experience to be able to support adults and children who are going through a difficult time, and provide them with the comforts of home.

We are currently seeking new weekly volunteers to commit to at least six months of service. Volunteers of JW House should mirror its compassion and dedication to helping families of hospitalized patients. Volunteers report to JW House Staff.
