Food Rescue's Healthy Harvest program works to reduce food waste and address food insecurity in Northern Michigan by rescuing fresh, excess produce from local farms & orchards and distributing it to local food pantries & meal sites. As a Healthy Harvest volunteer, you can help make a difference by joining us in gleaning fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste.

In addition to providing fresh, healthy food to those in need, volunteering with Healthy Harvest offers an opportunity for community members to get involved in the agriculture of Northern Michigan, learn about food insecurity & food waste, and connect with others who are passionate about supporting local food systems.

Farm gleans occur during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
