Help Food Rescue collect and distribute soon-to-expire fresh and healthy food from grocery stores, bakeries, and farms to food pantries and community meal sites in our 5-county area. As a Food Rescue Route volunteer, you will join a driver on their daily route to pick up food and drop it off at local food pantries and meal sites. The daily routes run start at 6:30 am and run until 11 am - 2 pm, depending on the specific route.

By volunteering with Food Rescue, you can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need by providing them with nutritious food while also reducing food waste. Join us in this important effort to support our community and promote sustainability.

Goodwill Northern Michigan is a community-owned nonprofit with community programs - including Food Rescue, Street Outreach, the Goodwill Inn, Supportive Housing, Good Meals, Patriot Place, and Good Partner Vouchers - that serve a 19-county region from Wexford to Cheboygan. Donations and sales at our thrift stores, combined with financial support from a generous donor community, allow us to increase housing stability and food security for some of our most vulnerable neighbors in Northern Michigan.
