Help bring the Three Rivers Festival Mascot, Admiral Andy, to life! Admiral Andy makes appearances at various events around Fort Wayne, once or twice a month throughout the year, and more frequently as the Festival dates approach. Volunteers are needed to wear the Admiral Andy costume at these appearances. Mascots do not speak, but communicate by gestures (waving, etc). Mascot helpers are also needed to accompany Admiral Andy at all of his appearances. Because the costume restricts visibility, the Helper stays close to guide "Andy" as he walks, to keep him and any little ones around him safe. Typical mascot appearances are 60-90 minutes, with 5-10 minute breaks every 30 minutes or so (costume can get hot, especially during summer months). During Three Rivers Festival (July), we would like Admiral Andy to make frequent apperances, throughout the various venues --- Art in the Park, Food Alley, Festival Pavilion, Headwaters Park, etc. If you'd like to join in the fun of bringing Admiral Andy to life, or being his helper, we'd love to hear from you!
