The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. Branch out and head outside with us to have some fun while making a dramatic difference in Piedmont Park! Green Team volunteers sustain and transform Piedmont Park by working together to make the park a more beautiful place.
Projects are held on Wednesday, 9 am - 11 am
All projects take place outdoors and are based on the current needs of the park
Projects include; pruning, weeding, mulching, collecting trash, rooting out invasive species, etc.
Age requirement: 14 and up. Volunteers under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian volunteer with them
All volunteers must sign a liability waiver
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have this waiver signed in advance by their parent or legal guardian
For all projects, we have all of the tools, gloves and supplies on hand, making it easier for you
We encourage volunteers to bring a refillable water bottle
This experience is ideal for a family, individual or group
Court-ordered volunteers are accepted. Must be pre-approved by the Conservancy.
