The volunteer docent provides interpretive tours in the Museum and the Historical Park. Tour groups are quite diverse and can include students, adults, families, and individuals interested in High Point’s history. Docent activities are not just limited to tours on-site. Our docents often choose to participate in special programs and events hosted by schools and organizations within the area. The docent serves as the educational link between the Museum and the visitor, and therefore, is an essential member of the Education Department.
Docents are able to wear masks at their discretion while conducting tours. The High Point Museum has hand sanitizers stationed all around the museum that are available to all visitors.
