Provide musical enjoyment to hospice patients with your instrument or voice. Become a part of our "Do Re Mi" volunteer program. Do Re Mi volunteers visit hospice patients (patients diagnosed with 6 months or less to live) in their homes throughout the Twin Cities metro area. Do Re Mi volunteers visit for up to one hour at a time, 2-4 times per month. The goals of the Do Re Mi program are relaxation and enjoyment for the patients and their families. Description
When life expectancy is limited, AccentCare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patients' own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
