ORGANIZATION: Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet

This national volunteer role will be responsible for interviewing potential virtual volunteers for Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet. This position requires a dynamic person who has exceptional people and diplomatic skills. Needs to be well organized with time management, have good email etiquette and confidence in using the internet.

  • Reports to the National CEO.
  • Manages volunteer positions through VolunteerMatch.org.
  • Sends email to a prospective volunteer within 24 hours advising them their application has been received and ask about a convenient time they can be contacted via phone.
  • Conduct a phone interview within 3 business days of receiving their contact information to introduce self, review skills and areas of interest, explain about our organization, and answer additional questions.
  • Email appropriate volunteer documents to prospective volunteer.
  • Maintain copy of our "Potential Volunteer" tracking workbook.
  • Send email to National CEO advising them as to which prospective volunteers have been sent the volunteer documents (full name, city/state, and volunteer position interested in).
  • Send "Monthly Activity Report" to National CEO by 15th of month following the reporting month.
  • Maintain 2 way communications with National CEO and reply to emails and phone calls from National office in a timely manner.

Description

Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet a national ALL Volunteer 501(c)(3) "Military & Veterans Support Organization" (MVSO) founded for the primary purpose of assisting military service members with situations impacting their ability to retain their pet ownership rights as a result of pet owner's deployment to harm's way (combat or peace-keeping or humanitarian related mission) and specific unforeseen hardship(medicasl/homeless) siturations.
