Project Prosper is seeking individuals passionate about helping refugees and immigrants in the greater Tampa Bay Area as they learn about the complicated American financial systems. Come teach with us at area English language learning classes and help newcomers in achieving their American dream!
Course topics include:
- Banking Institutions and Accounts (Checking and Savings)
- Budgeting and Saving
- Credit Cards
- Credit Reports
- Consumer Rights
- Fraud Avoidance and Identity Theft
- Borrowing and Loans
Project Prosper is a unique grassroots organization founded in Tampa Bay in 2007 with a mission to provide financial integration services and resources that empower recent immigrants and refugees in the community to achieve financial stability. We value the dynamic, resilient, innovative, and entrepreneurial spirit of immigrants and refugees, and envision a community that enables them to realize their full potential. By facilitating financial integration, we empower participants to achieve the American Dream and become thriving and successful members of the community. Project Prosper offers two programs, group financial literacy classes and a program of small, no interest loans with mentoring and matched savings.

Project Prosper prepares immigrants to participate fully in the economic life of the community through financial literacy and a program of small loans with matched savings and mentoring.
