Super Kids Club Volunteering:
The children, grades K-5, attend Super Kids Clubs to learn in an environment of one on one tutoring and mentoring focused on their specific needs. Volunteers from across our community work with the children helping them to complete their homework and encouraging them to succeed.
Super Teens Club Volunteering:
Super Teens' staff and volunteers assist 6th-12th grade students, helping them to complete their homework and school projects. They spend time getting to know the students sharing in students’ concerns and accomplishments. Staff and volunteers are committed to the students' success by offering encouragement, guidance, and support to pursue their education and become successful and contributing citizens to our community. Student progress is monitored weekly through ParentLink on the school district's website. Personal accountability and responsibility are built as students and staff review their grades together.
We hope you will join our dedicated team of volunteers that are changing the lives of the youth in our communities!
To empower at-risk youth to reach their full potential through tutoring, mentoring and faith-building.
New Horizons is a faith-based local nonprofit dedicated to helping at-risk students in grades K-12 who are growing up in an environment of poverty, academic failure and hopelessness. New Horizons offers almost 700 at-risk students a range of after school and summer programs in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers. Together with 1,000+ volunteers, New Horizons annually provides over 200,000 hours of after-school tutoring, mentoring and faith-building at no cost to students' families. Through its programs, New Horizons has demonstrated success in improving the graduation rate among at-risk youth in SWFL to 93% from 48% for their at-risk peers.
