Hope 4 Kids Preschool & Infant/Toddle Center

We are a faith-based, nature-centered, quality program partnering with families of children ages birth through kindergarten to help children reach their full potential in relationships, kindergarten, the community, and life. We are open year round, Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 5:30pm. We serve a wide variety of families and children including foster families. If you enjoy working with non-profit organizations that make a difference for our community, we encourage you to check out our website at www.hope4kidspreschool.org. There you will find more information about our programs, staff, mission statement and philosophy of working with children. Offering opportunities for community members to contribute to the success of our children and families is our goal. We provide training and mentoring for volunteers and administrative interns. We have experienced tremendous growth so we offer interns and volunteers the opportunity to support our administrative staff by preparing Family Enrollment Packets, copying, filing, writing thank you and welcome notes, and other administrative tasks that will help prepare anyone interested in working in a office one day. We serve a fabulous community of children and families whom we dearly love. In this position, you would have an opportunity to see the smiles on children's faces as they are greeted so warmly by our administrative staff daily.

About Hope 4 Kids Preschool & Infant/Toddler Center

Mission Statement

We are a faith-based, nature-centered quality program partnering with your family to help your child reach his or her full potential in relationships, kindergarten, the community and life. We will partner with families of children 2 to 5 years of age from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds and under-served families such as those caring for foster children. Our goals are to prepare and equip children and families with tools and experiences through an innovative program that: • offers a safe, loving, nurturing, culturally relevant, supportive program for preschool children and their families; • offers developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive experiences in all six domains (physical, cognitive, creative, emotional, social, language); • provides opportunities to develop self-worth and self-esteem; • offers developmentally appropriate opportunities for individual exploration of spiritual growth in Jesus Christ; • employs exceptionally trained and qualified teachers; • makes community support available on a wide-range of topics meeting the needs of children in our program; and • offers opportunities for enrolled families to network and receive support from other families in the area.

Our Philosophy Statement: At Hope 4 Kids we believe that: • children learn best through play; • children's work is their play; • lifelong lessons, relationships, skills, characteristics, beliefs, and strategies about life are developed in the early years through a child's experiences with his or her environment, family, peers, leaders, community, school, nature and play; • a child should be allowed to fully develop his or her own agenda using free choice, facilitated by experienced, quality, and highly-educated staff committed to the child's future; • a child's chance at a healthy, positive, productive, creative future is directly related to how often he or she as a child was permitted to explore ideas outside the box, take risks, create without the fear of judgment, think for him/herself, freely move his/her body, encounter sensory experiences (i.e., going barefoot in the mud, singing in the rain, painting anything and everything, etc.), use language in creative and unconventional ways, and develop meaningful relationships with all children and adults; and • it is critical for a child to know he or she is important, unconditionally loved, cared for, valued, and has a crucial place in this world that nobody else can fulfill.
