Britepaths has an urgent need for volunteers to mentor and teach basic budgeting skills to Fairfax County residents who are working to achieve financial self-sufficiency. Mentors will be matched as soon as possible. Training and orientation will be provided.
Britepaths' Mentors work one-on-one with low-income adults in the Fairfax County area to help them develop a budget, set budgeting goals and provide guidance and support while they work toward achieving those goals. Mentoring matches often last at least 6 months. Britepaths' Financial Literacy staff provides support for the mentoring relationships.
Attend an information session on Wednesday, October 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Britepaths' office to learn more about our Financial Literacy Program offerings and see if this volunteer opportunity is a good fit for you and your volunteer needs.
If you're interested in mentoring, but not able to make this session, please contact us to let us know!
