About

Founded in 1958 by a group of dedicated volunteers, Prevent Blindness Wisconsin's mission is to prevent blindness and preserve sight in Wisconsin communities.

We envision a Wisconsin where everyone enjoys a lifetime of healthy vision and we work toward this goal by providing free, direct sight-saving services, such as vision screenings, throughout the state.

Become a Certified Children’s Vision Screener! Help us identify children with potential vision problems and set them on the road to healthy vision through children’s vision screenings in your community.

Children are frequently unaware of signs of vision problems. Join one of our volunteer programs to help save sight in YOUR community today! #CHC
