Teens! Looking for a fun, learning opportunity over Winter Break? Apply to be an ENC Leader in Training (LIT) during Winter Nature Camp. There are two sessions, WK 1 is December 26-29 and WK 2 is January 2-5.

LIT's have been assisting with our Nature Camps since they were established in 1977. Community service is a great way to develop leadership skills and gain vital work experience. Our Leader in Training program provides local teens with the opportunity to gain these skills. More info and application on our website, http://encenter.org/volunteer-enc/students/leaders.

Who are we looking for? Teens, 14 yrs. or older, who wish to assist with the ENC’s Nature Camp, and have a positive impact on the lives and education of younger children.

How long is the program? After being accepted into the program, LITs attend a mandatory volunteer training session on December 20 from 3-5PM

What will you do? LITs perform a vital role in our Nature Camp program by assisting camp staff in activities and being role models.

How can you apply? Teens who are interested will complete an application. An adult that is not a family member must submit a reference form. Once these documents are received, and ENC staff person will call you to set up an interview. Experienced LIT's, that have volunteered as LITs at the ENC in the past, need not submit a reference form or interview.

Application deadline: Once spots are full, no additional applications will be accepted. Space in the program is limited, so applicants are encouraged to apply early.

Students, not parents, are responsible for communicating with ENC staff regarding the Leader in Training opportunity.
