In the Fall of 2009, H.O.O.P. adapted the "Triple A Tutoring" (Academic Achievement Assistance) literacy program. This format institutes a triangular connection between parents, school, and H.O.O.P. in monitoring and maintaining the youth's progress. This program seeks to increase parental involvement and instills the "village concept" in helping students achieve academic success. In the late/early Winter of 2009, H.O.O.P. established a partnership with Basic Basketball to provide 20-45 students for the after-school literacy program.
