We are an all volunteer Board of a growing organization. We need corporate and strategic thinkers who are also willing to take on the tasks created by our growth and the service we provide. Thanks to technology our service is virtual and web based and our meetings are by conference call with periodic in-person gatherings. If you have an expertise in advocating to stakeholders, potential contributors, or the public we welcome you. If you have an ability to write, manage a contact database, or manage financial reporting, we welcome you. All positions coordinate tasks with other Board members performing thier tasks. All duties are conducted by volunteers with no staff personnel so we need hands-on volunteers that can support us with timely action and follow through on projects. Also we are looking to get ahead of our growth with strategic ideas, planning and advocacy with future stakeholders. Your personal skills and a passion to support our nonprofit service for making communities safer by giving the public the ability to come forward about crimes and criminals while maintaining partnerships with all levels of law enforcement will be well applied here.

Must live in Minnesota or surrounding states to be eligible to join the Board.

About Crime Stoppers of Minnesota

Location:

9036 Grand Av. S., Bloomington, MN 55420, US

Mission Statement

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota’s mission is to assist law enforcement in solving crimes with the help of anonymous tips provided by members of the general public. We seek to make the neighborhoods and communities a safer place to live and work. We provide the people of Minnesota with a safe alternative to silence.

Description

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota provides the public with the ability to submit information about crimes and fugitives in a manner that keeps them anonymous, and offers a cash reward for information when it leads to a felony arrest. We submit those tips to law enforcement agencies across the entire State of Minnesota for investigation. We are an all-volunteer organization using advanced technology to receive tips, forward them to law enforcement, communicate anonymously with tipsters, as well as conduct all other operational functions of a nonprofit organization. Our Board members are doers to help us operate as a responsible nonprofit and critical thinkers to keep us viable to our stakeholders of the public, law enforcement and the media.
