- Give the gift of literacy
- Tutor an adult learner one-on-one in reading, writing, spelling or math
- Extensive assortment of educational materials available for tutoring session,free of charge
- On-going information and consultation as needed
- Volunteer shift varies based on learner between 30 - 60 minutes in timeframes to follow:
- Volunteer shift: M-Th 10:00am - 5:30pm
- Volunteer shift: Fri and Sat 10:00am - 3:30pm
- Volunteer shift: Sun 12:00pm - 3:30pm
- Submit monthly reports on hours tutored, progress and challenges
- Maintain contact with Literacy Services Center regarding student needs, concerns, questions, etc.
- Free parking is a 15 minute walk from the library. Metered parking around the library. Library does not reimburse for parking.

Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
