  • Are you eager to help others learn?
  • Are you able to train in November and December so you’ll be ready to help teach at least 6 lessons January-March 2019?

Ignite Adaptive Sports, formerly The Eldora Special Recreation Program is totally dependent on the commitment of its 100% volunteer instructors staff. The Ignite program has operated for over 40 years with an entire volunteer population and genuinely appreciates all of the time and devotion it receives from its Volunteers. During the 2017-18 season over 18,000 hours of snow sport instruction was provided to 362 students with the help of 230 volunteers.

* You must have your own equipment (skis, snowboard, helmet, etc.)

and need to wear black ski/snowboard pants.

Ignite provides an official jacket and nametags for use

during the season. You should be a solid intermediate skier/rider.

Anyone interested in volunteering with Ignite Adaptive Sports, must attend a Fall information session. Additional information can be found on our website

Ignite Adaptive Sports, previously, The Eldora Special Recreation Program (ESRP) offers unique and therapeutic recreational opportunities for physically and cognitively challenged individuals and groups. Using the latest adaptive techniques and equipment, participants can take part in a full-spectrum of winter sport opportunities designed to foster independence and lifetime skills.
