Volunteers generally serve both patients and families in 'nursing facilities'. Typically, volunteers visit once a week or more, as your schedule allows.
We would like to have volunteers who have or have had family members on hospice, though anyone who thinks they have the heart for working with dying patients may apply to the program by replying to this opportunity.Training classes are offered to give volunteers a sense of accomplishment, pride and love in spending time with those patients who need your attention in these last days, weeks or years of their life.
This can be some of the most rewarding volunteer work anyone can do. Creativity and Patience guaranteer rewards!
